Setup Instructions

Get your Northern Bytes display online in a few steps.

Step 1

Power On

Plug in the included power supply. The Northern Bytes logo appears first.

Step 2

Choose Your Wi-Fi Network

The first time you power it on (or after a Wi-Fi reset), the display shows a list of nearby Wi-Fi networks. Turn the dial on top to highlight your network, then press the dial to select it.

Step 3

Enter Your Wi-Fi Password

Turn the dial to scroll through letters, numbers, and symbols, and press the dial to enter the highlighted character. Pick DEL to fix a mistake, or SUBMIT when you're done. The display will show "Connected!" once it joins your network, then starts showing live information right away using default settings.

Step 4

Customize Your Display

Scan the QR code on the bottom of the device to get to your configuration page. From there you can pick favorite teams, stocks to track, your zip code for weather, and how the display behaves. Changes save automatically and reach your display within about 30 seconds.

Display Controls

One Dial, Four Moves

Turn the dial — adjust the brightness.

Quick press — switch to the next app.

Press and hold — turn the display on or off.

Press and hold — forget Wi-Fi and restart setup. Handy if you're switching networks or passing the display along to someone else.
